Sadly, most people will eat their Thanksgiving turkey next week without any genuine recognition of God. They won’t be remembering that their life, all the stuff they have, and all they enjoy is totally because of God’s loving kindness. That part has been lost by many over the 400 years since that first Thanksgiving celebration.
But hopefully not for Christians. Join us this Sunday as we feast together by eating two different meals of remembrance. First, the sacred meal of the Lord's Supper, then a delicious catered meal celebrating God's faithfulness. You might say there will be food for the soul and for the body. In fact, we'll see a surprising connection exists between Thanksgiving Dinner and the Lord's Supper that most people don't realize.
Come dig into the truth this Sunday at 10:30 am. Then stay to enjoy a great meal together. You'll need to bring two things: a grateful heart, and your appetite.
